This is a poster designed for the serif typeface Mrs Eaves XL, designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996.
The work features an emphasis on scale and hierarchy through the use of minimal secondary design elements and color. The ampersand in the background dually functions as both a subtle design element while also calling attention to the beautifully and thoughtfully designed symbol.
While the central focus of the work is on the name of the font and the alphabet, a small collection of facts and the list of the available styles are included in a lighter value, in order to recede in the hierarchy.
