"The Future Is Not What It Used To Be" - Pencil on Drawing Paper
Created October 2022
Won 2nd place in the TCU 150th Competition
"The Future Is Not What It Used To Be" assignment required a physical space to be illustrated using two-point perspective and had to respond to the prompt, “the future is not what it used to be”. The work uses three-point perspective to better capture the impressive scale of the skyscrapers, while simultaneously making a commentary on how the world has become increasingly urbanized, leaving little room for nature as seen by the minimal inclusion of elements that are not man-made.
"Daisy" - Pencil on Drawing Paper
Created November 2019
"Daisy" was created following the assignment rules of creating a drawing with forced perspective. The detailed shading on her white fur distinctifies her from the light background.
"Golden Hour" - Pencil on Drawing Paper
Created November 2022
"Golden Hour" was created with attention to light and shadow and followed the assignment prompt of imitating a famous artist's style. The artist's style that was chosen was Norman Rockwell's, and the piece mimics the hatching and crosshatching seen in his graphite drawings.
